New Beginnings
I know I've said this many a time before, but hopefully this time it will be true. I'm going to start writing on my blog! There are a couple of reasons. Mostly because lots of college friends are leaving and they want to hear what is going on in my life, so to appease them I will write. Also because I'm planning on going on another study abroad this summer (june 28) and friends and family will want to hear about everything, seeing as how I'm almost the only one who leaves the country. However, I think I should lay down some rules. I like to hear back from people who read my blog, so if there are not comments, it does not entice me to write anything. I don't really keep a journal because I don't think my life is too interesting, but I'm doing this for you guys, so I'm gonna need some feed back and encouragement. Also feel free to email me (kelcy.molyneux@gmail.com). So here goes:
Its that time of year, yes, you know what I mean.....FINALS!!! I guess I only really have one final left, but I also have a project that needs to get done. Therefore, I'll have things to do until Wednesday. A guy in our ward is going to have a book burning bonfire that night. I think I'll go, not to burn books, thats like burning money, but as a symbolic gesture of finishing what has possibly been the worst semester of my college career. After this I only have about a week until Spring classes start up. Hopefully they won't be too bad because I'm more than ready for a break from school/life: the number one reason for going on a study abroad this summer. I'll be headed out to the good ol' UK for a month and a half and then my mother dearest is going to join me and we'll be meeting Isabel in Germany and Switzerland for another few weeks. I've already signed a contract for a new year here at the same apartment so I don't have to worry about moving and not having a place to stay like I did last semester. Brigitte, one of my current roomates, is also staying so thats a good thing. I love her to pieces. Our other roomate, Domanique, is getting hitched :( in May so she's already pretty much moved out. We'll miss her dearly. Other than those things life goes on as usual, and that means that I get little done during the week other than work and school. Hopefully I'll be getting a new camera soon as my current one has decided it has had it. Then maybe I can put up some pictures and things. Until later, all the best!

Frumustragations
Maybe its just me, but I feel like starting this weekend there have been way too many frustrating things in my life. First of all, my roomie Susan is back from South Korea. This is a good thing because she's my friend but is also a bad thing. I was so grateful to have my own place and know that any messes I made or any state of my apartment is my own fault. I don't have to clean up after any other person and the messes they make. So practically 15 minutes after Susan and her sister set foot into the apartment it was a disaster. I ignored this because they have been gone for a while and are still unpacking. Now, three days later, the apartment is in the same, if not worse, shape. I can't take a step in the living room without stepping on something, be it shoe, purse, garbage, whatever. Both of the main garbage cans in the apartment were relatively empty and within the hour it seemed we had accrued two other bags full of garbage. This is somewhat my fault too, but they are still just sitting around and no one wants to take the initiative to actually walk like 20 steps to take the garbage out so we just try to stuff things into the can as far as we can. Like I said, I'm not doing anything either but I feel like its not my mess and I shouldn't have to clean up after it. Same goes for the rest of the house, not to mention the bathroom, in which I can only see about 1 square inch of counter top. Now, I just finished my time of the month and so some feminine products were sitting on the back of the toilet where they could be within reach. Apparently someone else was on theirs as well as the remainder of the package of my favorite product is now empty. I don't mind if you borrow or use some of my things every once in a while or if you are on the pot and forgot to bring something you can use one of mine. But there were at least 10 in there and those things are not inexpensive. I understand that we share a living space, but there are many things that are not shared. If you feel you need to use one of these items, PLEASE just ask. 9 times out of 10 I'd be happy to say, sure, use one, sure, have some cookies. Unfortunately this is not the case. Whatever, I'm just trying not to worry about it right now because I'm moving out this weekend and will have two new roommates coming to my new place. I just hope that I won't have any problems with them. I was lucky in getting Nichole and Susan that I got along with fairly well. I'm sure that Kristie and I, who will be living in the same complex, will be spending a lot more time with each other.
So, speaking of moving....I have to be out of my apartment by this weekend, the 23rd. However, the move-in date for my next apartment is not until the 29th. That is almost a week I have of not having a home. So I contacted my new residence and they put me on and "early move-in" list but gave me no guarantees. I talked to my dad about it and he said to talk to BYU to see if they have some sort of policy or procedure to help people in this situation. When I went in to talk to the off-campus housing people they told me basically there was nothing they could do about it. That I need to be more careful when I'm signing a contract. Well when I told my new apartment when I wanted to move in I said the 18th or there abouts. When I got my contract it said the 29th I guess, I should have paid more attention, but it was sent to me in the mail and I don't think the date would have been negotiable anyway. So I might be spending some time at Logan's house, with my stuff split up probably between his and Braden's places and maybe even salt lake.
I think there were four that I was going to talk about but I forgot one over the past little bit, so here's the last. I have been working at the same place now for a year. Generally its fine and really relaxed and stuff. Once again, maybe its just me, but I have been feeling like its been nit-picky and really boring and just I am sick of it. Same goes for school and Provo. I really would like to go on a vacation, but I don't have the time or money. Blah, whatever, I don't blame you if you haven't read this, it's just a bunch of whining, but I feel better writing it. Anywho, have a great day!

Gratuitousnition
Well howdee doodee! It's been a heck of a long time since I've even written on here and I'm sure that whoever had been checking my blog has now long since forgotten about it. My sister-in-law, Hillary, asked me the other day if I'd written on my blog and I said no, as I haven't. It reminded me though that I maybe should. I've nothing really interesting going on in my life, but I was showering today and I was thinking of some little things that I was grateful for and I decided to write about them. I'm so grateful for music! I can't think of a day that goes by where at least and hour and most often more in which music is present. It makes me feel so many things and in so many ways is an outlet for my own feelings. I don't necessarily have a "favorite" kind of music. Most times, something just strikes me about a song and I decide I like it. Another thing I am grateful for is not only the ability to read but so many great authors whose books keep me reading until I have to stop because my eyes get tired and my body restless. (Right now I'm hooked on Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. Check them out!) The great thing is that there seems to be an endless supply. If I could spend my life just reading I think I'd be happy, other than food and maybe sleep and friends. :) I'm also grateful for the knowledge that I have, the ability to adapt to different situations and to be able to assess what is and isn't appropriate in certain contexts. I meet so many people here at BYU and while most do have this particular gift, there is the odd person who doesn't. I met one of those people today in church. I guess I shouldn't say met so much as was taught a lesson by. Her stories and comments were, well, interesting, such as when she stated she was glad that her uncle died and the fact that she refuses to cry at funerals i.e. we can't mourn for the dead because they aren't really dead, we'll see them again. I just turned to my friend Kristie who was sitting next to me and could see that we were both thinking the same thing. I'm grateful for ceiling fans. This is kind of weird but I can tell a major difference when the one above my bed is on or off and I don't think I could really sleep comfortably in this warm weather without it. Last, I'm grateful for my big brother Logan and his family. I know they're always available for me, I usually go over there about once a week. It makes me inexplicably happy that my niece knows my name ( kuh kuh) and asks for me and tells her parents to pray for me. Hill is like my big sister and I'm so excited to be there for the next baby, due out in November (a good month eh?). I'm so grateful to know that I am always welcome there and not only welcome but wanted and my company enjoyed. Much love to my family!

Soon
So I'll leave for the Y in about two weeks. I'm really excited, I just hate waiting because there's nothing for me to do until I leave so I'm just sitting around. I actually, for a summer job thingy, was a "teacher guide" to some Chinese students. What a fiasco that was. When I first got into it I thought they were Japanese and figured they'd be around my age, or at least 16. Then I got the applications of the students....They were Chinese and 12 and 13. I only ended up finding about 5 homes and I had 11 students, so one house had three and all the others had 2 and I had to give up my bed so that two students could use my room. Well the students were nice enough, I guess, but I had to teach an English class and that didn't go so well. All the kids just pretty much figured they were here on vacation and didn't pay much attention and it was frustrating. Then, all the activities I took them on they didn't like and were always wanting to go back to their host home. Anyway, so now they're finally gone and I'm just waiting for school to come.

Time Flies
Well, it has been quite a while since I've written on here. I am back in the U.S., and have been for about a month now. The flight back was long, just like the flight there, and life just settled back to normal pretty much. I only had two classes at school, Seminary and Ap Spanish, and now that I've taken the Spanish test I don't go to that anymore. So I have one class at school. I got a job and don't have a job already. I was hired for a seasonal position at the Utah State Tax Commision just for data entry. It was probably the most boring job I've had, which says a lot becuse WaMu was pretty boring too, but at least I interacted with people there. At least at the Tax Commision you could listen to music, and I think that was the only thing that made me stay there for about a month. I just went to my last day of work today becuase the tax rush is over so all the seasonal employees are going, unless you want to work early hours. I guess I could work early hours, but I signed up with a temp agency and I kind of want to be open to whatever they give me. Seminary graduation is this Sunday and then graduation graduation is on May 30, which reminds me that I really do need to get announcements sent out. I have them ready to go pretty much, its just addressing them and getting them mailed. Mom somehow lost the photos we ordered from Jostens for me to put in the letters and to give out on yearbook day, so we had to print some off of the computer. I don't really care too much, it's just kind of annoying. Nothing really exciting has been happening, just life as normal. I'll try to get back to writing in here more normally and getting some home pictures up too. I love you all!!

Too Soon......
Well, here we are, in April already! I realized that this is my last weekend with the family, because next weekend I'm going to Bilbao to visit Monica, and the 18th I'm at home! Some time went slow, but mostly it has flown and I've become attached. I won't have a little brother I can bug and get away with it at home. As much as I miss home, it does get easier to stay away. Sure, there are pangs, but you develop other relationships too. Well, enough of that. Last weekend we went to the beach, a small town near Cadiz called Roche. There were the most beautiful beaches! We started out by just sticking in our feet, but ended up with wet legs, except Dani, who ended up just going swimming with his clothes on. I should have gone swimming that day, but I didn't. I got a couple other opportunities to go to the beach, but one day it rained, and the other, right after rain, the water would have been too cold. I stuck my feet in, but that's all. I stayed at the "country home" with my representative while the family stayed in a beachside hotel nearby. It was kind of nice because it was secluded, but it was certainly cold at night. I had two comforters and slept with socks and a jacket on. We stopped on the way there in Sevilla and on the way back in Córdoba and I have many pictures, but too many to put up and I haven't transferred them, so you may just have to wait until either I can get them up or until I get home. Tomorrow we don't have school and then it's a normal week until Friday when I leave pretty early on a 5 hour bus ride to Bilbao. I'll come back Sunday and then I'll have Monday here, and I don't know if its true, but because the flight home on the 18th is early people said that we spend a night in a hotel (all the exchange students that is) and then go home, and if that's the case I'll see the last of my family on the 17th. That sounds so horrible! We had a goodbye kind of dinner today with Teresa's brother's family and then watched a movie together. I realized that I really didn't have any pictures of the family so I took some today and have got to start snapping like mad! Also, when I come back that just means more responsibilities, I have to get on with life. I've got to go back to actual school for a little bit and find somewhere to work to save up money for college. Moving on is kind of depressing. Maybe just because I'm a worry wart about the future. It scares me. Well, not to end on a depressing note, the family has figured out that I'm not ticklish and Oscar decided that he'd try to find some but he hasn't tried very hard. I hope you're all well, and I'll see you soon enough. (I was about to write too soon, because I kind of want to stay longer, but then I realized that sounds like I don't want to see people, which isn't true. ) Anyway, cheerio!
